Objet D'Art: Jean Paul Gaultier
Speaking of color, the most memorable creation of Gaultier’s Spring 2011 Couture show: Look #48. Long scarlet gloves accented the interweaving shots of color that swirled up the bodice and around the skirt. Imagine how many layers of tulle went into that?!

Vibrantly colored silks, bright ombre dresses, and bold ruffles stand out for spring.
Spring Runway 2011: Lace
Sweet, lacy frocks and skirts at Dolce & Gabbana and Erdem.
Is there anything sweeter than white lace?

Spring Runway 2011: The New Minimalism
Left to right: Jil Sander, Narciso Rodriguez, Calvin Klein, Jil Sander.
Long, billowing skirts, simple cuts in cotton and silk, and clean palettes with a flush of color make for perfect spring attire. No one does minimalism better than Francisco Costa at Calvin Klein, but Raf Simons at Jil Sander debuted a gorgeously fresh spring collection.

Several designers slipped into loose pajama pants, silky slipdresses, and other boudoir-worthy pieces.
Not really sure how practical this trend is, but I’m looking forward to the pajama party.
Spring Runway 2011: Pleats

Tiny, delicate pleats sprang up in skirts and dresses, from metallics to chiffon.
Perfect paired with ballet flats, lace up espadrilles, or ladylike pumps, this trend is chic and wearable.

I am officially obsessed. I usually hate any type of snakeskin since it kind of freaks me out, but this bag is beautiful. I love the teal, oceany-blue color and the mixture of cool (snakeskin) + pretty (the ribbon chain).
Let it Snow
I feel like such a little kid, but I am beyond excited that today is a snow day here in New York! The streets actually aren’t that bad, but the city looks something like a winter wonderland. So today I’m curling up in a giant sweater with a cup of hot chocolate and the entire first season of Gossip Girl.
